You could argue the most damaging injury of the 2016 Orioles season was righty reliever Darren O'Day's right shoulder. For the most part, the Orioles were a fairly healthy bunch.
Sure, O'Day was out for seven weeks in June and July with a nagging hamstring, but during his first stint on the disabled list, the Orioles actually did quite well. Counterintuitively, O'Day's return from his hamstring injury coincided with the team reaching 17 games over .500 (57-40 July 24).
But from the time O'Day returned from his first injury to the end of the season, the Orioles were actually below .500 (32-33) and barely made the postseason.
