Terps Show They're Not Rebuilding

Now that was madness.

The Maryland men's basketball team shouldn't have beaten Georgetown, but rivalries prompt strange endings. The season's second game was too early for such late theatrics, but the Hoyas' seven-point lead melted during the final minute, and Terps junior guard Melo Trimble drained two free throws to cap the improbable 76-75 victory Nov. 15.

Just madness.

It was the second straight win for Maryland against regional rival Georgetown, after reviving the series last season following a 22-year gap. There's no promise of continuing the series, and, certainly, Georgetown might opt to avoid Maryland much like it did after losing to the Terps in 1993.
