Terps Need To Schedule More Buzz-Worthy Games

Currently, one of the easiest takes in local sports media is to suggest Maryland and Georgetown should be meeting on a basketball court every year. When delivered, the take normally goes something like "I don't care where/when/how and what has to be done to make it happen, it just needs to happen."

It's an easily agreeable take. Two major, storied college basketball programs have campuses separated by less than 10 miles. The suggestion that they should figure out a way to put aside differences and make sure they play against each other once a year is a fairly reasonable concept, whether you understand the nuances of college basketball scheduling. I can't say for certain it's a take I've offered during my years of local sports bloviation, but I'd be surprised if I haven't.
