Maryland men's basketball comes in at No. 25 in the Associated Press Top 25 men's basketball preseason rankings, released Oct. 31, and No. 21 in the USA Today preseason coaches' poll, released Oct. 20.
Duke earned the top spot in both polls, followed by Kentucky, Kansas and Villanova in the AP rankings. In the USA Today coaches' poll, Kansas took the No. 2 spot, followed by Villanova and Kentucky.
Last season, the Terps were No. 3 in both preseason polls.
