Severna Park's Mike Minter Tasked With Keeping Perry Hills Upright

Life without Maryland senior quarterback Perry Hills wasn't kind to the Terps; they scored a total of 10 points from the start of the second half against Penn State Oct. 8 to the end of the Minnesota game Oct. 15 with talented but raw freshman quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome.

Hills returned to action against Michigan State Oct. 22, leading Maryland to a 28-17 victory to the tune of 21-of-27 passing, two scores and no turnovers. With five games remaining -- including three against top 10 teams nationally -- and needing one win to become eligible for a bowl game, it's of the utmost importance to keep Hills healthy.

One of the men taking on that duty is junior offensive lineman Mike Minter, who has started all seven games at left guard this season. Hills had time to go through his progressions just about every time he dropped back against the Spartans and was sacked only once.
