Maryland senior cornerback Will Likely is done for the season with a torn ACL, the school announced Oct. 21. Likely tore an ACL during the second quarter of the Terps' 31-10 loss to Minnesota Oct. 15, forcing him out of the game and bringing his career at Maryland to a premature end.

"In the short time I've been here at Maryland, I understand and have a great appreciation for the significant impact Will Likely has had on our football program," Terps head coach DJ Durkin said in a press release. "Will was one of the first people I met with when I accepted this job and it was quickly apparent how much he meant to his teammates and Maryland football. He will continue to play a vital role in our program as we lean on him for his leadership and experience."

Likely started at the nickel spot for the first six games of the season, during which Maryland went 4-2. Likely made 32 tackles and broke up three passes. He also returned eight punts for 26 yards and eight kickoffs for 219 yards.
