Part of Georgetown University Medical Center and Georgetown University Hospital, the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center prevents, treats, and cures cancers through scientific discovery, expert and compassionate patient care, quality education, and partnership with the community. Held annually, the Lombardi Gala raises funds for the Center with a black-tie dinner and silent auction. This year, they will honor survivor Chris Mortensen, an award-winning ESPN NFL Insider, for his courageous battle against throat cancer. All proceeds from the Lombardi Gala directly benefit cancer research, education, and therapy.
