Yep, for a second straight week, the NFL's results provided me with a glossy, lustrous picture of near-perfection, as a second straight week with double-digit wins (10-5) gave me a 20-9 mark during the last two weeks and raised my year-to-date mark to 56-36 (.608).
As usual, the slate was filled with close, down-to-the-wire finishes, but I got lucky on several fronts.
Jacksonville had to score 17 fourth-quarter points to come through for me against Chicago, and it did. Detroit needed to hold off the resurgent Los Angeles Rams in the late going at Ford Field, and it did. Cleveland tried to pull off a fourth-quarter rally at Tennessee, but it fell two points short.
