From parity comes mystery, and that's the way the NFL likes it.
With almost five rounds of games completed, 12 of the league's 32 teams are either at .500 or within one game on both sides of the break-even mark. That number is sure to increase as the season's various twists and turns continue to rear their ugly heads.
But while the league's overall unpredictability has added to its appeal, such changes of fortunes make for an ugly climate around teams struggling not only to find wins, but to merely establish an identity.
It is certainly true in Baltimore.
