After Summer Flood, Nepenthe Homebrew Closes Ahead of This Week’s Storm

Located in Meadow Mill, Nepenthe Homebrew was one of the businesses that flooded in the July storm that also inundated Ellicott City. With more heavy rain in the forecast this week, the Woodberry business is taking precautions. But they aren’t just closing the doors.

According to a notice sent by the company, the company is loading their entire shop into big trucks, including fridges and shelving. The beer that others have fermenting at the shop will also be safe. The owners have previously said commercial lease provisions prevent them from leaving the location altogether, so this time they are choosing to head for higher ground.
