Navy Football Passes Early Tests

Navy's football season got off to an ominous start when starting quarterback Tago Smith tore his ACL in the second quarter of the opener against Fordham University Sept. 3.

Senior quarterback Will Worth took over, and Navy responded by winning its first three games, starting 3-0 for the second consecutive year. The Midshipmen get a week four off before heading to Colorado to face Air Force in the first game of the race for the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, which Navy has won in three of the past four seasons.

The Midshipmen are not surprised by the team's early success, despite the adversity.
