Portrait of a second-round pick in action:
- With the Cleveland Browns facing a third-and-11 play from their own 10-yard line Sept. 18, quarterback Josh McCown floated a pass to running back Duke Johnson, who managed to barely pick up the first down. However, monstrous defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan -- all 6-foot-2, 295 pounds of him -- roared downfield to make the tackle.
- Two plays later, on second-and-10, McCown lined up in the shotgun, seemingly looking to pass. But Jernigan wasn't fooled, blowing through an inside gap to beat the left guard to the point of attack and tackle running back Isaiah Crowell for a 1-yard gain.
