It's hard for any football team to get into a consistent pattern early in the season. But as for your intrepid prognosticator, things have gone surprisingly well so far.
Through the first two weeks of the campaign, I have managed to compile a 20-12 (.625) record. The best thing about that mark is it came about due to two straight weeks of going 10-6.
But a weird pattern has emerged.
Five of my losses -- nearly half -- have come during the Sunday late-afternoon window, those games in the Mountain or Pacific time zones that start at either 4:05 or 4:25 p.m.
