At this point, if your fantasy baseball team is in position to win a championship, you don't need my help during the next two weeks. Good luck finishing at the top of the standings, as the grind of a long fantasy baseball season is finally coming to an end.
It's now time to take a step back and look at what has transpired throughout the last few months. During the next couple of weeks, we will take a look at the hitters and pitchers who have surprised and disappointed, along with where I was wrong and right. Looking back now, while everything is still fresh, will pay dividends when you begin draft preparations next March.
We'll start the recap with surprise hitters. Last year's list featured Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts, Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado and Detroit Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez, who all used last year to catapult them into great seasons again. Hopefully a few guys on this year's list will prove this season was not a fluke and will help fantasy owners in 2017 when they are bound to be drafted higher.
