Defense Saves Sputtering Ravens In 13-7 Win Over Bills

At the beginning of every season, the Ravens can clearly see a schedule with 16 opponents stretched out in front of them.

In the home opener, they added a 17th.

At times during the team's 13-7 season-opening win over the visiting Buffalo Bills, Baltimore was its own worst enemy, to the occasional chagrin of the 71,104 fans in attendance.

In part, the Ravens (1-0) won a Week One game for the first time since 2012 by displaying the kind of big-play capability on both sides of the ball they have sought.
