As most folks who follow the fantasy sports world know, the daily fantasy landscape has changed tremendously in a year. A year ago at this time, we were being bombarded by screaming TV adds encouraging folks to get in on the DFS bonanza and win millions.
After a long year of governmental and media scrutiny of the industry, there has been a lot of changes. On the one hand, DFS contests have been made specifically legal in a handful of states, but DFS websites are declining to accept customers form more states than previously (about 10 in all). And the sales pitches on TV are far less frequent and far more subdued.
However, what has not changed is that daily fantasy remains a contest of skill and, just like last year, we'll offer some weekly insights to help put your lineups together.
