Could Devin Hester Be The Ravens' Return Answer?

The University of Miami's storied program has been very good to the Baltimore Ravens. Last year, the return specialist role wasn't.

The Ravens hope they have finally found someone to simultaneously keep one trend going and reverse the other with the Sept. 4 signing of NFL record-holding return specialist Devin Hester to a one-year deal.

A corresponding roster move has not yet been announced, and financial terms were not immediately disclosed. Reportedly, Hester will be assigned jersey number 17, which had been worn by recently-released wide receiver Jeremy Butler.

The Ravens, who worked out Hester twice before subjecting him to a physical examination Sept. 3, have gone through a myriad of punt and kick returners ever since the explosive Jacoby Jones was let go after the 2014 season.
