It's not known whether the New Orleans Saints want the final preseason game to matter.
But the Saints, who host the Ravens in the final 2016 preseason game Sept. 1, announced they will play their starters for at least one quarter, including Super Bowl winner and perennially prolific quarterback Drew Brees.
Maybe it's because the winless Saints, forecast by many observers to finish in or near the NFC South cellar, need to go into the season on a winning note. But whatever the reason, it won't affect what unbeaten Baltimore does.
"We'll just approach like how we [usually] plan to," head coach John Harbaugh said. "... It doesn't matter. They'll do what they do, we'll do what we do. We'll play the guys that are out there and we'll play as well as we can."
