On Nov. 17, 2015, the Milwaukee Bucks -- Greivis Vasquez's team at the time -- were in Washington, D.C., playing the Wizards during a 7 p.m. game. As fate would have it, Vasquez's college team was playing Georgetown on the same night in College Park, Md., with a 9 p.m. start.
After the Bucks fell to the Wizards, Vasquez had enough time to get to College Park for the end of the game. Maryland came roaring back from a late deficit to capture a victory in the much-anticipated showdown with the Hoyas.
Vasquez, a four-year star under Gary Williams, led the Terps to three straight NCAA tournaments during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Vasquez had some legendary performances, like his 35-point, 11-rebound, 10-assist effort during an overtime win against North Carolina in 2009 -- or his 41-point game during a double overtime victory at Virginia Tech in 2010.
