Transwestern Represents Event Design Company In 42,863 SF Lease

8/19/16

Transwestern today announces it represented Design Foundry in a 42,863-square-foot flex lease at 6500 Sheriff Road in Landover, Maryland. Transwestern Senior Associate Jason Sullivan, Vice President Jeff Groves and Senior Vice President Brian Watts represented the event design and décor company in the transaction. Building owner Exeter Property Group was represented in-house by Principal Scott Dougherty.

“The move will accommodate Design Foundry’s expanding operations while maintaining convenient access to its customer base in the Washington, D.C., area,” said Sullivan. “This property also provides Design Foundry both the office and warehouse storage space it needs to operate efficiently.”

Design Foundry previously occupied 1851 South Club Drive in Hyattsville, Maryland.

According to Transwestern research, the Suburban Maryland flex/industrial market was strong during the second quarter of 2016. Net absorption totaled positive 564,000 square feet, and the direct vacancy rate decreased by 20 basis points to 8.3 percent.
