Now comes the fun part.
With seven weeks remaining in the baseball season, two of the six division races are finished, two others are waiting for exact clinching dates and the other two are looking for a survival of the fittest.
The Cubs and Nationals don't have much to worry about except each other -- and how they want to set their rotations. The Rangers and Indians aren't exactly dashing to the finish line, but they've created enough space to think their division leads are safe.
Meanwhile, in the MLB Park Avenue offices, they are once again paying homage to the Wild Card races that technically have kept 12 teams, besides the division leaders, involved in the discussion -- leaving two compelling races that should be worth watching.
