The Maryland men's soccer program has maintained a standard of excellence for more than two decades. During the past 22 years, the Terps have reached the NCAA tournament 21 times, made eight appearances in the College Cup and won two national championships. They should be the class of the field among the state's Division I teams again this season.
Elsewhere, UMBC, just one year after a trip to the College Cup, lost several valuable seniors but could make a run at the America East title. Tim O'Donohue, the new head coach at Navy, will lead a team in transition, while a young Loyola squad will try to become competitive in the Patriot League.
Loyola:
The Greyhounds took a step back last season. After posting a 5-8-4 overall mark and 2-5-2 Patriot League record during the 2014 season, the Greyhounds went 2-13-2 and were 0-8-1 in nine league games.
