Based on his results and the fact he was chosen to close out the All-Star game for the American League, it's clear Orioles closer Zach Britton is having a terrific season.
When it comes to the best and most dominant closer in the game, Britton may not be as sexy of a pick as Chicago Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman, but he's certainly moved onto an exclusive list.
But is he worthy of the Cy Young Award?
Honestly, it wasn't something I even considered until MASN studio analyst and former Oriole Rick Dempsey broached the subject Aug. 5, after Britton nailed down is 34th save out of 34 opportunities and lowered his ERA to 0.58 and his WHIP to 0.75.
