Maryland running back Wes Brown will miss the first three games of the 2016 season and transfer cornerback JC Jackson is now eligible to practice, DJ Durkin said Aug. 10 after the Terps' third day of camp, the first practice of camp open to the media.
Brown violated the student-athlete code before Durkin and his staff arrived, but Brown is still obligated to serve the suspension.
"Any time you have a young man and you discipline them, you hope the outcome is that they've learned from it, they've gotten better, they've made the improvements necessary, and I really feel strongly that Wes has done that," Durkin said. "He's been nothing but great since we've been here."
