GBMC HealthCare Inc. has appointed Lisa Goodlett, CPA, MBA, as its new executive vice president /chief financial officer (CFO).

Goodlett, who started at GBMC on July 25, was the as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Dimensions Healthcare System in Hyattsville, Maryland. Prior to her role with Dimensions, Goodlett was employed for two years as the CFO for Baptist Health System, the leading health system in Montgomery, Alabama.

Goodlett assisted leadership at Baptist Health through the successful execution of strategic initiatives to improved access to capital, growth, cost savings and best practices.  Under Goodlett’s leadership, Baptist reversed $13 million loss to a $5 annual profit, and through a care advisor program, helped 300 patients without a medical home obtain medication and subsequently reducing admissions.

Goodlett, an accomplished financial leader with more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, has in-depth knowledge of the Maryland waiver with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and also has significant experience in working with Maryland’s Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) in the all-payer rate setting system.

Goodlett received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Clemson University and her Master’s Degrees in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. She is CPA licensed in South Carolina and is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
