Here are this week's rankings.
1. Chicago Cubs (69-41 overall record, No. 1 ranking last week) -- Since Aroldis Chapman took the ball for the first time in a Cubs uniform July 27, Chicago has gone 10-1, which is no surprise.
2. Washington Nationals (66-45, No. 2) -- The Nationals finished up a strong 5-1 week against Arizona and San Francisco. They are the only National League team with any chance of upending the Cubs' stranglehold on the No. 1 spot.
3. Baltimore Orioles (63-47, No. 4) -- So far, the O's are 2-1 on their all important 10-game road trip. They are about to head West to take on Oakland and San Francisco with their rotation somewhat straightened out.
