Lee & Associates, one of the largest national commercial real estate service providers with regional expertise, has completed a land sale transaction for a parcel totaling 23.1 acres, located on Dorsey Run Road, in Elkridge, Maryland.

Thomas Whelan, Principal, and Allan Riorda, SIOR, Principal, of Lee & Associates Chesapeake, represented the owner, Howard County. 

The land was sold to DCT Industrial Trust, a leading industrial real estate company specializing in the ownership, acquisition, development, leasing and management of bulk-distribution and light-industrial properties in high-volume distribution markets in the U.S. DCT Industrial plans on developing DCT Terrapin Commerce Center, a two-building complex totaling 220,000-square feet at the site.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to have sold the property to DCT.  We think that this development is going to be a great addition to the area,” said Whelan.  “It’s in a prime location for an industrial development and DCT has a great opportunity here.”
