As former Orioles pitcher Ben McDonald prepared to return to the team's radio broadcast booth in August, he found himself watching Dylan Bundy's third career start July 27.
Like everyone else watching the game, McDonald found himself extremely impressed with Bundy's spectacular first five innings of perfect baseball.
"His stuff just jumped at me," McDonald said July 28 on Glenn Clark Radio. "[He's got] a mid-90s, and sometimes a little higher than that, fastball that he can elevate up in the zone when he wanted to. Looked like he commanded it pretty well. I was impressed by that. And then he showed you a really good breaking ball at times.
