The Ravens' first training camp practice is in the books. Here are a few highlights:
- Even though the recent heat wave is expected to subside due to forecasted thunderstorms, the first camp practice was conducted in sticky conditions with little breeze.
- The heat took its toll on veteran receiver Kamar Aiken, who could be seen suffering from camps. Also, linebacker Patrick Onwuasor hit running back Kenneth Dixon a little too hard near the sideline, causing a slight left knee injury that head coach John Harbaugh doesn't believe is serious.
- The six players on the physically unable to perform list -- a group that includes wideouts Breshad Perriman and Steve Smith Sr., as well as outside linebackers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil -- were joined by running back Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot). Also not practicing were the three players who have not passed the conditioning test: receiver Mike Wallace, cornerback Jerraud Powers, and newly signed receiver Dobson Collins.
