When Orioles left-hander Donnie Hart made his major league debut against the Tampa Bay Rays July 17, he did exactly what he was supposed to do. He worked two-thirds of an inning, striking out one without letting anyone on base.
But it wasn't just Hart who caught the attention of fans and media alike. It was his twin sister, who sat with her family watching her brother make his major league debut and was moved to tears.
"It was pretty cool; it was cool to see my sister that happy," Hart said July 26 on Glenn Clark Radio. "She's always been a big supporter, [of] my baseball career and pretty much anything I do. She's my twin, so we did everything together when we were little. But yeah, it was pretty cool to see that."
