The Ravens have never held the first-overall draft pick. However, they now employ a player who was one.
Veteran tackle Jake Long, the Miami Dolphins' top choice in the 2008 draft, has reportedly agreed to terms with Baltimore and is flying to Charm City to sign the deal just before veteran players are required to report to training camp July 27.
The first full-team practice begins 9 a.m. July 28.
Financial terms have not been announced, but the deal is reportedly a one-year contract, making the 6-foot-7, 322-pound Long eligible for free agency next spring.
