As a columnist and talk show host, I've come to accept not everyone is going to agree with every opinion I have. Sure, those who dissent are wrong, but they have the right to be wrong. I simply have to stomach the fact that not everyone is as brilliant and clairvoyant as I am.
If you'll excuse me, I need to remove my tongue from my cheek for a second.
This past weekend, I wrote a column about the Orioles and the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline. It expanded on an opinion I've expressed throughout the baseball season -- my belief the O's should not be giving up prospects again this year for rental pieces.
Not everyone was going to agree with me, and a few people let me know that rather quickly. Of course, one of those people was someone who I'm forced to admit is slightly more of an expert about the topic.
