Shamin Hotels Buys Hotel Property In Maryland

Shamin Hotels, the Richmond region’s largest hotel operator, bought another out-of-state hotel property — this time in Maryland.

The Chester-based company bought the Embassy Suites by Hilton Baltimore Hunt Valley hotel north of the Baltimore beltway.

Shamin paid $13.7 million for the 223-room hotel, said Neil Amin, the company’s president and CEO.

Plans call for the property to undergo a full renovation, he said.
