Fantasy Baseball Waiver-Wire Watch: July 22, 2016

Fantasy owners received brutal news earlier this week surrounding Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw. The left-hander was shut down in June due to a herniated disc in his lower back but was on the mend to return by August. However, he experienced a setback in his rehab and has been shut down indefinitely.

There is no one available who can duplicate the 1.79 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and eye-popping 145-strikeouts-to-nine-walks ratio. The best-case scenario is Kershaw returns in mid-August, fantasy owners are still holding strong in the pitching department and he provides a boost for the last month and a half.
