Liquidation Sale at Peabody Court to Prep for Renovation

Beds, cabinets, flat screen TVs, lights, artwork, kitchen equipment and other furnishings went up for grabs today as owners of the former Peabody Court hotel in Mount Vernon started a “liquidation sale” on the premises, 612 Cathedral Street, in preparation for a $15 million renovation.

Representatives for the owners, LL Pro Hospitality Baltimore LLC, said in April that they would close the 104-room hotel for renovations in July and reopen once the work is complete sometime in 2017. The sale, which is open to the public, is a sign that they are moving ahead with their plans.
