It's no surprise Ravens rookies will be the first in the NFL to report to training camp when they do so July 22.
That's because head coach John Harbaugh, entering his ninth season at the helm, is known for embracing a near-Spartan work ethic, loving the challenge of building a team for the long grind ahead.
Harbaugh expects that same dedication from his newest players as well as the veterans, who don't check in until July 27.
But even in today's salary cap, free-agency era, when players change teams more frequently than ever before, it's still a surprise whenever debutantes seemingly come out of nowhere to make the active roster.
