WHAT: The Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Nonprofit Federation offers world-class educational opportunities for nonprofit marketers and fundraisers via its annual nonprofit conference in New York City. The 2016 New York Nonprofit Conference, which will be held on August 2–3, 2016, will provide a forum in which to exchange innovative marketing and fundraising ideas, generate insightful solutions and think creatively to strengthen relationships with donors. In addition, this year’s conference will provide sessions on direct/interactive marketing principles and practices; the latest in direct/interactive legislation, regulatory and standards-setting issues facing nonprofits; and guidance on ethical practices related to direct/interactive fundraising and other communications.
WHO: Chrissy Hyre is director of telemarketing strategies at CCAH, an award-winning multichannel direct response firm specializing in nonprofit fundraising. She will co-present a session titled “On the Edge of Glory: Using a Multi-Channel Approach to Take Your Acquisition to the Next Level” at the 2016 New York Nonprofit Conference. Dana Weinstein, Director of New Audience Engagement/Membership at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and Andrea Bieling, Marketing Director at EMILY’s List, will co-present with Chrissy.
The session underscores the importance of a multi-channel approach to marketing and activities such as breaking down silos, coordinating campaigns across departments and determining the best way to talk to donors. However, going a step further – taking a multi-channel approach to recruiting donors – could yield fundraising glory. The presentation will offer attendees new ideas to grow their acquisition programs.
