The Orioles headed into the All-Star break on an up note July 10, winning the rubber game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 4-2, to close out the first half of the 2016 season.
With the victory, the Orioles improved to 33-14 in Baltimore this season, and they've won 11 of their 15 home series (with one series loss and three splits). They're also heading into the break in first place in the American League East, two games ahead of the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.
The Birds' first half ended the same way it began: with right-hander Chris Tillman taking the mound at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. During those 12 starts, Tillman has yet to be defeated, and his unbeaten streak continued against the Angels despite his struggles with command.
