Fantasy Baseball Waiver-Wire Watch: July 1, 2016

At this point in the season, fantasy owners with healthy rosters are probably sitting in a nice position. We are a little more than a week away from the All-Star break, and there's nothing worse than losing a player at this point in the season.

That brings me to Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw. The top pitcher in all of fantasy baseball is heading to the disabled list after receiving an epidural in his lower back. There's no timetable for when the ace will return, but as a guy who was living up to his top-five draft pick status, this is a huge blow. There's no replacement on the waiver wire, and to even acquire a pitcher close to Kershaw's level would mean giving up a ton of talented players on your roster.

The hope is Kershaw will only be sidelined for 15 days and can return shortly after the All-Star break.
