It seems everyone in town is throwing in their two cents regarding the slowly evolving Dylan Bundy saga.
But I have an admission to make regarding a column I wrote before the Bundy opining that is occurring now. On April 14, I wrote a piece, Dylan Bundy-Buck Showalter Relationship is Something Worth Watching, and that dovetails nicely with the facts of this evolving narrative.
What seems to be at play here is a basic weakness of the Orioles' staff, the starting rotation's inability to go deep into games (an average of 5.49 innings per start), that has actually helped the club in a weird way -- when it comes to carving out a useful and meaningful role for Bundy's growth as a pitcher.
