Some of the nation's best lacrosse players once donned a uniform in the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic.
The 11th annual event is a showcase for the game's top athletes, who have traditionally gone on to have stellar careers at the collegiate and professional levels. This year's NCAA Division I national semifinals had 35 players who competed during the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, which is powered by Corrigan Sports Enterprises.
"Twelve years ago, [company president] Lee Corrigan wanted to create lacrosse's version of the McDonald's All-American basketball games, and he succeeded big time," said Scott "Booker" Corrigan, vice president of media for Corrigan Sports.
"The label of 'he/she made the Under Armour All-America game' is something that will stay with that player throughout their playing days and beyond. The underclass tourney is the proving grounds, and being invited to play in the senior game is the yardstick by which all lacrosse players are measured. It has become the pinnacle of high school lacrosse."
