Fantasy Baseball Risers, Fallers: June 27, 2016

6/28/16

The Washington Nationals placed starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 16, with an upper back strain. Unfortunately, this is one of the risks when it comes to drafting the right-hander, as he has experienced numerous injuries throughout his career. Strasburg was having a solid season, with a 2.90 ERA and 1.06 WHIP to go along with 118 strikeouts and 24 walks. There isn't a specific timetable for the 27-year-old's return, which makes it a tough blow for fantasy owners

The New York Mets came to terms with Jose Reyes, and he is expected to return to the majors after spending time in the minor leagues. Reyes will play multiple positions and is expected to bat leadoff for the Mets, so he will bring fantasy value. Reyes should be able to score runs and steal bases for fantasy owners, so if you are in need in those categories, he is definitely worth adding.

I recommended Seung Hwan Oh in my latest waiver-wire column due to Rosenthal's struggles and Oh's domination. Hopefully, you were able to grab Oh off the waiver wire before Rosenthal's latest implosion led to him losing his job.
