Fantasy owners received good news when New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard's right elbow checked out fine, and he was then cleared to make his next start. The talented youngster had to leave his June 22 start early due to the discomfort, but it appears nothing is serious.
However, this is now the second time this season Syndergaard has dealt with elbow issues, and it has now flared up a couple more times during the last few years. I'm terrible with predicting how injuries will turn out, but I am concerned, as this is now the second time in roughly a month the Mets' starter has complained of elbow soreness.
If you have Syndergaard on your team, it wouldn't be a bad idea to float his name on the trade market and see what you can get in return. I'm not suggesting selling low, as Syndergaard is an elite talent, but if fantasy owners can acquire a few pieces that will help the overall team, it may be worth it. Syndergaard may be fine for the rest of the season and continue to dominate, or he could be shut down in a month. It's worth at least seeing what his value is at this point.
