Much of Bowie Baysox right-handed pitcher Bobby Bundy's career has been dominated by injuries.
But after appearing in 14 games in 2014 and 2015 combined, the 26-year-old reliever has made 19 appearances for the Baysox this season and is looking to get back on track.
"Yeah, you kind of feel your back against the wall," Bundy said June 16 on Glenn Clark Radio. "I've been around the game long enough; I kind of know where I'm at. You know, for me, or a guy like me, I've had four surgeries: three on my elbow and then one last year on my knee. So I'm just really trying to keep together a healthy season, and, you know, understanding that I [have to] give it my best and see what happens."
Bundy, the Orioles' 2008 eighth-round draft pick, got off to a shaky start this season, walking eight batters in his first four appearances. In 3.1 innings over four games, Bundy amassed a 10.80 ERA. Since then, Bundy has been able to limit the walks and enters play June 22 with a 4.91 ERA.
