In the football world, the competition now begins in earnest.
For players, it's a chance to gear up for training camp and a chance to prove themselves all over again. For prognosticators, it's their opportunity to pick and choose which teams they feel will make the playoffs and/or Super Bowl LI, and then see which of them come closest to being right.
For local media in all 32 NFL cities, it's time to go out on a limb, bypass training camp and preseason games, and pick their team's 53-man Week One roster.
In the past, Ravens Report hasn't usually participated in this exercise. But with an uncharacteristic influx of free-agent talent, plus with the second-largest draft class in the franchise's two-decade history in tow, now is a good time to start.
