Ravens Minicamp: Marshal Yanda Ready, Breshad Perriman Relieved

On one hand, Ravens veterans who skipped the earlier spring practices felt comfortable enough to wait for the mandatory minicamp.

"I'm an older player now -- just trying to knock the rust off," said guard Marshal Yanda, who is entering his 10th season.

On the other, the same nagging, vexing problems that plagued the injury-riddled Ravens last year have kept others off the field even as the three-day workouts began June 14.

For example, linebacker Elvis Dumervil had what head coach John Harbaugh called a "preventive procedure" on an unknown part of his body that will force him to miss minicamp. Harbaugh emphasized the veteran pass-rusher will be back for training camp.
