An audible sigh of relief could be heard throughout the Ravens' headquarters as the team's mandatory minicamp began June 14.
According to multiple reports, wide receiver Breshad Perriman, the team's 2015 first-round draft pick (26th overall), will not need reconstructive surgery on a left knee injury he suffered during the Ravens' recent organized team activity practices.
After consulting with noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, Perriman underwent an exploratory arthroscopy on the morning of June 14.
Since the knee was found to not have a torn ligament and to be in better shape than had been originally believed, a stem-cell injection appeared to be all that was necessary for the procedure to be completed.
