The Baltimore Orioles selected 41 players during the 40-round MLB First-Year Player Draft June 9-11. Among the picks were three pitchers selected in the first two rounds: Illinois right-hander Cody Sedlock (27th overall), Western Michigan left-hander Keegan Akin (54th overall) and John A. Logan College right-hander Matthias Dietz (69th overall).
