McKinley was nominated by Raiders head coach Nicole Hoeck, who praised the senior for the encouragement, support and leadership she offered her teammates throughout her high school career.
"Well, I've coached Beth since she was a freshman here at Loch Raven, and she has always been such a dedicated player and always offers a hand to anybody in need," Hoeck said. "She is dedicated to her community, her school, and I know she will continue those characteristics about herself at the University of Maryland as well as her future endeavors."
