On March 30 the Women’s Leadership Institute of Baltimore at Notre Dame of Maryland University will host WJZ Anchor Denise Koch and Sheela Murthy, the world-renowned immigration attorney, philanthropist, and justice advocate, for a conversation about the new book, Being Sheela: The Life Journey of an Immigration Lawyer.
As a passionate global philanthropist, Murthy feels that she is a vehicle to help people achieve the dream of living and working in the United States. In this conversation we can all discover the human side of a successful professional, an immigrant and woman of color who has made it her purpose to strive for a better world. We will learn about her journey from India to becoming the internationally acclaimed lawyer, advocate for women, and distinguished speaker she is today.
